On August 30, The cooperative shooter set in the Alien universe, Aliens Fireteam Elite, is getting its first boss battle. As part of the game’s paid Pathogen expansion, you will be able to battle a mutated Xenomorph Queen.
The very first boss fight
Gamescom Opening Night Live gave fans game news and trailers. With one special highlight being an extended look at Pathogen DLC for Aliens: Fireteam Elite. Ahead of the DLC’s launch, developer Cold Iron Studios shared more information on what players of the co-op shooter should expect. Of course, this includes a snippet of Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s first boss fight.
Additional updates
The expansion includes three new missions, a bunch of new cosmetics, emotes, weapons and attachments, and other customization options. The expansion is worth $14.99, and it was a stand-alone add-on. 20th Century Games has two other purchase options: an Ultimate Edition Upgrade for existing owners of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, which packs in the Pathogen expansion and five Endeavor Pass DLCs for $29.99; and the Ultimate Edition, which includes the add-ons and the base game that costs $59.99.
Take away
The expansion will bring more than just a killable queen to Fireteam Elite, but also Xenomorph mutations, which have been infected with the “black goo”.
