In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you can have a total of 22 Abilities which are either Ranged Abilities or Melee Abilities.
The playstyle in AC Valhalla depends on your abilities, you can assign a total of 8 abilities to Eivor to suit your own playstyle. This guide will lead you to all Abilities and Upgrade Locations of your Ranged- and Melee Abilities.

Ranged Abilities and Melee Abilities locations in AC Valhalla
You can acquire new skills by finding and reading the Book of Knowledge, these count as Wealth Collectibles. These books are partially well hidden and are marked on the map with a golden book symbol!
The first 4 abilities are from Norway, later when you get to England, it is very important that you do a side quest right away. Complete the side quest A Little Problem first thing to get the abillity Man’s Best Friend before moving forward. Otherwise you will have a glitch and you wont get the first ability when you collect first the upgraded version of Man’s Best Friend within the open world.
Other than that, just follow the timestamps until you get to the end of the Video. You will get the last 4 abilities as a reward for turning in 30 Order Medallions to Hytham. You can check our Order of the Ancients Locations Guide in case you need help on that.
