Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Options Guide

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance

Cyberpunk 2077 has romance options, which you can play around with. You can save time if you know your love interests and relationships. Not everyone can romance correctly. Cyberpunk 2077 decisions can also affect your chances.

Here is a guide from one-night stands to four key romantic relationships you can start. Whether you have a favorite you’ve set your sights on or you’re just curious to see, Cyberpunk 2077 romance options are available.

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance options

There are four main Cyberpunk 2077 romance options available. You’ll never be able to romance all four of them in a single playthrough, but you can romance two of them depending on the gender of V you’re playing as. You can just have sex with them, but you can also get into a relationship with any of them. You can also have relationships with multiple characters at the same time.

Judy Alvarez

Cyberpunk 2077 Judy Alvarez

Using V with a feminine body type and voice could possibly romance this character.

Judy is the first of these potentially romantic characters you’ll encounter in the game. She’s the braindance expert you’ll meet before the end of Act One, as Evelyn’s friend who assists you with the plan to steal Arasaka’s biochip.

Once you’ve accepted that Johnny Silverhand has become a part of you, you’ll begin looking for a way to get him out of your head. The main quest will include an attempt to locate Evelyn. Well, it’s here that you’ll run into Judy again. Make the most of any optional objectives you get to call her and keep her involved in the story, as this will allow you to spend more and more time with her.

She’ll be demoted to Side Job status soon, but she has an entire arc to explore. That really starts with the Ex-Factor Side Job, which you’ll get after Judy calls to ask if you’ll help her take over Clouds – the doll club you went to for Evelyn information. These missions will continue to be available (including the multi-part quest Talkin’ ‘Bout a Revolution and a second strand called Pisces), but you will eventually be offered a Side Job called Pyramid Song. This is a unique mission that we won’t spoil for you, but if you play as female V, you’ll be able to make a move on Judy at the end.

Judy will ask you what the night meant to you the following morning.

You have the following options:

1st Option: The beginning of something amazing.
2nd Option: A pleasant distraction

The first option will pursue Judy, whereas the second option will dismiss it as a one-night stand. If you decide to start dating her, it could affect how the game ends.

Panam Palmer

Cyberpunk 2077 Panam Palmer

Using a V with a male body type can date her

If you’re playing as male V, the Complex Nomad clan member Panam is an interesting person to date. You’ll first meet her through the Main Jobs, which are part of your search for Anders Hellman. You can even try your luck with love with her here. But your journey with Panam will continue through the Side Jobs, and the choices you make here could lead to a little romance in the end.

After the mess with Hellman, she will call you again and ask for your help with a Side Job called Riders on the Storm. During this mission, you’ll be stuck in a small house in the middle of a badlands sandstorm. This gives you a chance to make a move on her. But she doesn’t want to date anyone until later in the game because she’s afraid. In the Side Job called “With a Little Help from my Friends” and then in “Queen of the Highway,” you’ll have more chances to get close to her. In this last mission, when you’re both inside the Basilisk and wired to each other, you can have a pretty steamy romance. You can’t have a more serious relationship with her, though.

Panam is one of the most important relationships you’ll want to keep going if you want to see every possible ending in the game, so keep in touch with her even if you’re playing as female V.

River Ward

Cyberpunk 2077 River Ward

Using V with a feminine body type and voice could possibly romance this character.

River Ward, the hunky cop romance option, is easy to overlook because you’ll only meet him if you dive into the Side Job entitled I Fought the Law. The Peralez husband and wife team will task you with investigating the mayor’s recent death during this mission. You’ll meet River here, who is also looking into the case unofficially due to the mysterious circumstances surrounding the mayor’s death.

But, once you’ve solved that mystery, River will present you with another: the disappearance of his nephew. He’ll call you distressed, triggering The Hunt, one of the more interesting / terrifying quests in Cyberpunk 2077. Following this, he’ll call you again and invite you to dinner, which will be the Side Job known as Following the River (get it?).

River will ask you if you know why he’s taken you to a secluded spot with a view of the city near the end of this little slice of suburbia after much teasing. You can tease him a little, but eventually you’ll be asked if you like him like him or just as a friend. You will be able to romance him if you say you like him.

In the morning, he’ll ask if you want to make this a relationship, and you’ll be able to say yes if you want to keep dating him. Adding his relationship to your story, as with Judy, can have consequences for the game’s ending.

Kerry Eurodyne

Kerry Eurodyne

Using a V with a masculine voice and body type can be romanceable

Kerry will not appear unless you thoroughly investigate the Side Jobs involving Rogue and Johnny. You’ll eventually be tasked with breaking into his house to see if you’re okay, and then with getting the Samurai band back together for one last gig. However, following these missions, Kerry will call and ask for your assistance, triggering a secondary string of missions that will both complete his mission arc for the associated achievement and open up a romance option with him.

It’s all about Kerry’s solo career, and initially about a Japanese pop band called Us Cracks doing a cover of one of his songs. But, later on, it’s all about figuring out what’s really holding Kerry back.

When you complete the mission Off the Leash, you’ll stop in the middle to talk with Kerry at a rooftop bar. You’ll get the chance to kiss here, but the romance won’t really heat up until the next mission, Boats Drinks, where you go on a boat trip with Kerry and a second kiss option appears while you’re trashing his manager’s boat. You’ll then have the option of getting into a relationship with him on the beach.

Secondary Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Option

Meredith Stout

Meredith Stout

This character can be intimate if you chose the Maelstrom mission ‘The Pick Up’ correctly.

You’ll have the option of calling Meredith Stout in the Main Job called The Pick Up. If you use her chip to pay for the Flathead (with the encryption still intact), she’ll leave you a message, allowing you to pay her a visit. She’ll invite you to the No-Tell Motel, where there’ll be some romance. However, there are no relationships.

Alt Cunningham

Alt Cunningham

Alt Cunningham is more of a romance necessity than a romance option. Her interactions with Johnny Silverhand in the early memory flashbacks are intense and unexpected. However, it does help to flesh out the backstory for Alt and Johnny’s relationship, which becomes important later in the game’s story and in the game’s final moments.

Rogue Amendiares

Rogue Amendiares

Even though Rogue isn’t a main option for a relationship, she has a history with Johnny Silverhand, which means they can try to get back together through V. After the problems with Hanako-sama and Takemura, you’ll play through a mission called “Tapeworm” where you and Johnny really talk. Here is where he will ask you if he can use your body to go see Rogue. You can decide later if you want him to take over or not, but if you let him, it will set off a small chain of events that will lead to Johnny (and V) taking Rogue on a date. It won’t lead to a full-fledged relationship (for obvious reasons), but it will affect how the game ends if you make good decisions elsewhere.

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance with Joy-Toys

 Joy Toys

The easiest things to get in Night City are the Joy-Toys on Jig-Jig Street, which is like the Red Light District of Night City. You’ll go there a lot as part of the main story, but if you want to go there just for fun, it’s to the west of Japantown, just south of the Cherry Blossom Market fast-travel point. The Joy-Toys are marked on your map, which makes it easy to find them. There are also options for both men and women.
