Destiny 2 Season of Plunder has more pirate-themed activities. Guardians will face a new set of seasonal challenges.
The usual rewards are Bright Dust, Repute, and different amounts of XP. These tasks can provide Guardians with something to work toward in the latter days of the season, even while the Sails of the Shipstealer questline is still active. There is still value in completing the challenges, even if you already own the season pass for Destiny 2 Season of Plunder, in order to earn the rare Bright Dust rewards.
Destiny 2: Antiquarian VIII
Return the eighth relic to the H.E.L.M.
Also, defeat Champions across the system. Champions defeated in Ketchcrash and Expedition will award bonus progress.

Champions 0%
Rewards: Repute, Challenger XP+
This week’s new seasonal challenge from the Antiquarian Club involves acquiring yet another Relic of Nezarec. As you make your way through the seasonal questline Sails of the Shipstealer, you’ll come across this artifact. Additionally, it is to your advantage to vanquish Champions all around the system; seasonal Ketchcraft and Expedition activities feature Champions whose vanquishing grants bonus advancement. As long as you keep up with the seasonal events, you should make good progress in this challenge.
Destiny 2: Barrage
Defeat Champions and bosses in Ketchcrash.
Combatants 0%
Rewards: Challenger XP++
Due to the shared need of vanquishing Champions in the Ketchcrash seasonal activity, this week’s Antiquarian challenge and this one are a great fit. It’ll be easy to meet the goal if you just play a few rounds of Ketchcrash.
Destiny 2: Hold The Trigger
Calibrate Machine Guns, Scout Rifles, and Sidearms. Rapidly defeating combatants and defeating Guardians will award bonus progress.
Progress 0%
Rewards: Challenger XP++, Bright Dust
Another simple objective is to eliminate all foes armed with Machine Guns, Scout Rifles, and/or Sidearms. You don’t have to feel comfortable with one particular weapon type to make progress on this challenge; progress with any of them will do. Both non-playable characters and Guardians count towards this challenge, and completing it quickly will net you extra experience points.
Sextant Navigation II
Collect Map Fragments and Treasure Coordinates throughout the Season.
Map Fragments can be obtained by completing Ketchcrash. Treasure Coordinates can be acquired from ritual activities.
Map Fragments x/160
Treasure Coordinates x/1,600
Rewards: Repute, Challenger XP+
This challenge is retroactive, which means that you may already be close to finishing it or may have finished it previously. If not, you’ll need to engage in some Ketchcrash in order to collect the necessary Map Pieces, and you’ll need to engage in either Ketchcrash, an Expedition, or a ritual activity (Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit) in order to collect the necessary Treasure Coordinates.
Pinnacle
Reach Power Level 1580 by earning pinnacle rewards
Power Level 1580
Rewards: Challenger XP+++, Bright Dust
Reaching Power Level 1580, which requires earning and purchasing pinnacle gear, is a challenging goal that may be out of reach for casual Guardians.
Destiny 2: Intended Mischief
Acquire the Gambit ornament for Cry Mutiny.
Weapon Ornament
Rewards: Challenger XP+++, Bright Dust
The week 8 challenge is similar to the week 7 challenge of obtaining the Crucible ornament for the seasonal weapon Cry Mutiny, in that you must now obtain the Gambit ornament for Cry Mutiny. Stop by Drifter in The Last City to pick up your Gambit challenges, and then go kill some stuff.
