Anthem: You don’t need to worry about BioWare

Currently, it appears that BioWare may have delivered the second failure in a row with “Anthem“. However, players do not have to worry about the future of the studio, as producer Michael Gamble assures via Twitter.

As was apparent in the past few days, the newly released action role-playing game “Anthem” is currently still struggling with various quirks.

So the players complain not only about technical and playful problems. In addition, the still quite tight content is criticized. An event that is also reflected in the ratings. At Metacritic, “Anthem” is currently achieving an average score of 60 percent. Average user ratings are even lower.

EA is known for closing studios – What about BioWare?

With “Mass Effect Andromeda” already BioWare’s last project turned into a commercial disappointment, “Anthem” could face the second failure in a row. But what does this mean for BioWare? If Michael Gamble, the producer of BioWare, becomes a producer, then the fans of the Canadian studio do not have to worry about the future of BioWare.

“Do not worry about us. We still have a lot of work to do. But you are not the only ones who like Anthem, “says Gamble via Twitter.

The question may be whether the whole thing in the management of Electronic Arts sees the same. Finally, the US publishing giant is known for closing studios in the absence of success. For example, after the disappointing performance of “Mass Effect Andromeda”, it hit Bioware Montreal. The studio behind “Mass Effect Andromeda” was dissolved after the weak sales and the developers distributed to other projects within the EA family.

In 2017, it was the turn of the “Dead Space” makers of Visceral Games. These worked on a “Star Wars” project, which was housed after the closure of the studio at EA Vancouver and probably completely turned over.
