Apex Legends: More Maps are already planned

As Vince Zampella, CEO of Respawn Entertainment, confirmed in a recent interview, additional maps for “Apex Legends” are already in the planning phase. In addition, there is talk of cards that differ in size from the current map.

Developer are planning more Apex Legends Maps – also different sizes are planned

After “Titanfall 2” despite its obvious qualities sold below expectations, the developers of Respawn Entertainment with “Apex Legends” finally seems to have managed the hoped-for luck.

As announced later this week, the free-to-play Battle Royal shooter now has more than 25 million players. In addition, in a recent interview, none other than Respawn Entertainments CEO Vince Zampella lost a few words about the new “Titanfall” maker’s work.

Speaking of a maximum of 60 players, Zampella said that this design decision had simply felt right as they worked on “Apex Legends“. In addition, the developers were primarily concerned with creating the most enjoyable experience possible, rather than simply chasing after a certain number.

Looking to the future of Apex Legends, Zampella added that the successful launch of the Battle Royal shooter was just the first step on a long journey. Internally, new maps are therefore in the planning phase. According to Zampella, it is even conceivable that these differ in size and scope from the previous map.

“This is just the beginning of our journey. There will be new maps, new modes, new characters, new weapons and new skins. There will be a lot of stuff over the next year or the next ten years. It depends on how successful it is, “continues Zampella.
