Ark Survival Evolved developers released a new update today. We have the same patch notes for this August 28 update.
The Ark Survival Evolved Update 2.36 is now available for download for PS4, Xbox One and PC. On the PS4 you have to download 10.9 GB, the size of the download can vary depending on the platform.

When is there going to be an update for split screen so the shadows go away?? This happened when WildCard broke the game with Genesis and has still yet to be fixed!

I swear Wild Card is trying to be the next Rockstar, or Sledgehammer. Hey, devs, Fix the important issues in the damn game, instead of this new map bs. I would rather play a game that runs properly, over a shit game with a load of new content.
Mine is glitched and stuck. Logged out the other day saw there was a update hoping that would resolve it but no. Can’t move can just look around and fragments floating above me.
And yet we still have the issues of Basalisks not losing food (therefore not wanting to eat). Also why are there basalisks on Crystal if there are no rock drakes or magmasaurs for us to collect eggs to tame??
hey if you go into your pause menu hit triangle square, r1 ,L1 at the same time admin commands pop up type in prevviewmode and hit the enter button 4 times and bam no more shadow on first player screen. 🙂

Unless they just didn’t mention it, they still need to fix wyvern nest spawns. Plenty of wyverns (in only 1 location) but never a nest/egg. And fix all the drops that are going under ground. Unless you’rein single player and ghost mode you can’t get half the drops.
11 gigs to fix TWO FRIGGIN BUGS? Not all of us have fiber connections, you know.

They need to put the Crystal Rock Drakes back in. This is the end of a long run and they should finish on a high note put the maps back the way they should be Wild Card need to get their house in order to me it look like they are turning into another Rock-star. fix the issues but don’t ruin the work of people that spent hours to make the game better.
Dear Wildcard,
Please get rid of the host tethering in split screen. I would even pay a few bucks just to not be tethered. Official servers are too needy for my lifestyle and are life consuming. I logged over 1500 hours on official servers in 2018 and missed alot because I was busy raising and feeding dinos, or had to get on because my stuff would disappear if not. I’m pretty sure you are missing out on a huge demographic and alot of profit by making people play on official servers if they wanna play with friends. I don’t play anymore because I would be consumed by the obligation to play again. Im sure I would have many people following me on this one.
We need to get wildcard to hear this message. All who work too much to effectively play on official servers and would pay for non-tethered split screen or non dedicated server, say I!

Must have not downloaded previous updates since they update quite a lot.
Unfortunately that’s not something that can be fixed. That’s how a non dedicated server works. The player that is hosting the game is also hosting the server. You’ll need a dedicated server to not have the tether, whether through a second console running the game or by rented a server through a third party.
There this bug were after a update u come back it say u died randomly only after update it does that it needs to be fixed.

Also, they won’t fix the single player split screen problem unless you wanna be kind enough to send them the money to pay someone to do it.
This is a buy to own (to own bugs*) games and then you wait around for (paid) DLC, and the occasional/yearly freebie. Until new user cash flow could end up being affected by the splitscreen quality of offline multiplayer (ahem, niche!), that will not be getting addressed. Not salty, just think about it.

THe only thing they need to fix now is the fact that the update on the 25th crashed my ps4 and I had to do a complete reset of my ps4 five times then the game says no sessions found. along with the 20 to 30 seconds of lag every minute and its the only game doing that to me.
An update a few months ago crashed my PS4 randomly and corrupted my hard drive, I had to replace it and redownload everything.
there needs to be an update that fixes the dang second player shadow that shows over the first player in single player mode. I dont play online and don’t want to. However there should still be attention paid to offline single players as well. It cliches when you are fighting an animal causing you to harvest when you don’t mean to as well.
Right, awesome update had this issue yesterday, but for real it’d be awesome if you guys checked into the non-dedicated tether, it’s a huge buzz kill trying to play with my friends n they just get teleported off there animals, you could charge $30 to remove it and I’m sure everyone would still buy it.
You can use the command Cheat prevviewmode to remove the shadow on split screen, it has to be done every time you load in but it helps remove it for that playing session, just gotta cycle through until you get the Screen you love
If you use admin command and type prevviewmode in it you can scroll through textures until it disappears
