After years of anticipation, Ubisoft is finally taking the series to J Feudal Japan. At this stage, there’s nothing much said about the game. All the fans know there is the setting. Hence, the official title has yet to be decided as it was showcases as ‘Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red’ instead of the usual One Word Subtitle.’

Among the announcements that included the long-awaited Skull & Bones, We also got to learn about the future of Assassin’s Creed and where players will be playing their deadly skills soon. The game got only the shortest trailers at Ubisoft Forward, establishing the mood with a striking sunset over the palace and forest, with a ninja with a hidden blade and Japanese short sword landing on a tiled roof before cutting to the series logo and “Codename Red” title. Marc-Alexis Côté says that Codename Red is the “future of Ubisoft’s open-world RPGs,” Ubisoft Quebec is developing this game, the team behind Odyssey.
Ubisoft and Netflix Teamed Up
Moreover, Ubisoft and Netflix have collaborated to bring original Ubisoft games to Netflix’s subscription service, including a Netflix-exclusive Assassin’s Creed game. Yet, there are no further details about it.
Live-action Assassin’s Creed series in the making
The partnership with Netflix doesn’t end here, as Ubisoft Film and Television is working with the streaming giant to make a live-action Assassin’s Creed series.
