Black Desert Online Update 1.43 Patch Notes

Pearl Abyss developers today released Update 1.43 for Black Desert Online. Below you can find the complete patch notes for this update on May 27.

Black Desert Online Update 1.43 is now available for download, for all platforms.

The patch notes are very complex, so we only implemented part of the bug fixes. With this update there is really a lot of new content, adjustments and bug fixes!.

 

Black Desert Online Patch Notes 1.43

Finding specific NPC’s has been a difficulty for some time. We have added an ‘NPC finder’ option that allows you to find specific NPC’s across the map. This could be NPC’s such as ‘Wacky Toshi’ who appears in multiple locations but can sometimes be difficult to track down. To access this function, you will need to add the ‘NPC Finder’ menu to a ring menu slot, and then select it. Once opened, you can select either a generic NPC (i.e Stable Keeper) or scroll down to the search function and type in the name of an NPC. This addition should make it easier to find NPC’s when you need to. 

 

 

The number of deliveries possible in one day with Imperial Delivery has been changed from 33% of your total contribution points to 50%. This will allow those who engage with the Imperial Delivery systems to fill more orders per day than previously.

As part of our continued efforts to improve performance, we have made a few changes that should alleviate some of the issues that occur when a large number of players are condensed into one place. This change is intended to help modes which have large groups of numbers, and we will be monitoring how these changes perform incredibly carefully.

We have also added another option that will allow adventurers to change characters to the basic appearance of that class in certain situations. To activate this option, you will need to go to settings>Performance and turn the option on. Note, this feature will work differently depending on the device’s performance and the current situation. 

 

 

The target completion of certain quests has been moved from Schultz Guard to Sausan Garrison. This change is intended to make it slightly easier for weaker characters to be able to progress through quests. We have also modified multiple entries in the simple cooking menu so that incorrect entries are no longer visible.

Although not all of these are UI, they do relate to the User Experience (UX) and have been listed under this category.

Certain settings have been changed so that they will now upload onto the servers instead of saving solely to the local device storage. This should help correct the issue where only the last characters settings were saved when connecting from multiple devices. After the update, the settings should remain the same for all characters regardless of if you access on multiple devices.

We have also added an option to turn off notifications when items are picked up. This option will remove the notifications that show which items have been picked up by your pets. Although the notifications will not show, you can still see what was picked up in the system message tab, and items will continue to be added to your inventory. To activate this option, you will need to go to Settings>General Settings>Alert. 

 

Other UI Changes
Fixed an issue where the time remaining to switch back to a character after transporting it was not displayed correctly.
Fixed an issue where Alchemy Stone settings were reset upon reconnecting to the game.
Fixed an issue where interacting with the skill Instructor while on a mount other than horses/ donkeys would cause the UI to disappear.
Fixed an issue where the Dim Magical re-acquisition quests weren’t able to be obtained by Witches.
Improved the NPC conversation topics by abbreviating/shortening the dialogue options if they are too long.
Fixed the issue where the Inventory and Storage balance from NPC Repair menu > Equipment window overlapped with the relevant category’s description text.

 Due to the recent Black Spirit Rage changes, the description of ‘Time to Shine!’ has changed.

 

Guild bosses have been improved so that they are now more aware of player characters in their vicinity.

Improvements were made so that interacting with the NPC ‘Cook Weikid Taha’ in Kusha would not be impeded by the objects around him.

Fixed the issue where the Enhanced Manshaum Totem at the cave in Manshaum Forest would remain as a question mark on the minimap even when the knowledge was obtained.

The question mark for the NPC above the cave can be earned by obtaining the knowledge, ’Brand of Ahib’.

Fixed an issue where Maehwa would occasionally enter an abnormal position when switching to combat while crouching.
Fixed an issue where the off-hand weapon of the [Shai] Kibelius Divinus Armor would display strangely.

The issue where you could not repair items with certain modifications has been fixed.

Characters will no longer be pushed back when using skills that pull monsters together.

Fixed issues where certain Maehwa skills inputs and descriptions were displayed incorrectly.

The Adventure Log progress UI not showing up occasionally has been fixed.

Fixed an issue where certain Guild House descriptions were not visible clearly.

Fixed an issue where elephants that were unsuccessfully tamed were not resetting.
