COD Warzone renamed to Warzone Caldera, report says

COD Warzone will be renamed “Warzone Caldera” when the second installment debuts later this year, leaker says.

Tom Henderson, an industry insider and leaker, tweeted, “Warzone will be rebranded on November 28th.” The leaker says COD Warzone will continue to get patches and DLC after Warzone 2’s release.

Modern Warfare II will be released on October 28, but Warzone won’t be until November. Activision hasn’t specified a release date for the new Battle Royale, but the COD Next demo coming soon.

Activision’s statement calls COD Next “an era-defining franchise event highlighting the immediate future of Call of Duty.” Fans may live stream the event, which will feature Modern Warfare II, the latest Call of Duty: Warzone, and the mobile edition of COD Warzone.

Activision has stated that Modern Warfare II’s multiplayer will be shown at the event, with the early access beta starting the next day. Pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II to play the Multiplayer beta before October.
