Destiny 2: Maintenance on March 19 – Update 2.8.0.1

Destiny 2 usually releases new updates on regular days. But today there is unscheduled maintenance work, the servers go offline and Hotfix 2.8.0.1 will be installed. We have all the information!

 

Destiny 2 Server Down on March 19th – Update 2.8.0.1

So far there is little information about today’s update. On Twitter, it was reported that the update included a fix, which disable Artifact Power in Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner.

It is not known at the moment whether it will be a pure server update or whether we should also download Destiny 2 Patch 1.48. As soon as Bungie releases more information and patch notes 2.8.0.1, we will report back to you!

 

Destiny 2 downtime on March 19

9:00 AM PDT 1600 UTC
  • Destiny 2 will undergo maintenance for Hotfix 2.8.0.1.
  • Some Destiny API features on Bungie.net, mobile and third-party apps will be disabled.
9:45 AM PDT 1645 UTC
  • Destiny 2 will be brought offline for expected maintenance.
  • At 10 AM PDT, Hotfix 2.8.0.1 will begin rolling out across all platforms and regions.
  • Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2 at 10:00 AM PDT.
10:00 AM PDT 1700 UTC
  • Destiny 2 Hotfix 2.8.0.1 will begin rolling out across all platforms and regions.
  • Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2.
  • Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue, and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
11:00 AM PDT 1800 UTC
  • Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude.
  • Console players who encounter issues updating to Hotfix 2.8.0.1 should restart their console and try downloading the update.
