Bungie today released a small hotfix for Destiny 2, Update 1.42. We have all the information about this update on October 15th.
Destiny 2 Update 1.42 is now ready for download, for PS4, Xbox One and PC. You have to download and install 142 MB.
Copying the data takes a long time on the PS4 Pro again …
Bungie has not released the official patch notes yet, we are updating as soon as possible

Why do I have to have like 80 gigs free for a 140mb download? This is pissing me off
So slow I thought there was something wrong.. how did I not know there was such a major update? Turns out it’s not a big update but it’s taking forever! ?

If your still trying to download the massive file, cancel it and start again. My mate has just done and is now downloading the proper update at 140 something mb.

It’s update 1.42 that means it’s only updating 142 megabytes I’m downloading on my regular PS4 and I’ve been sitting here for 22 minutes and I’m at 22% not just the PS4 Pro that’s slow my Pro was actually faster then my regular PS4 my Pro only took 14 min
Oh yeah, I’m irritated. Just got back into D2 after getting way into it at launch. Took a full day to download, had to delete games for space. Wake up today, “delete might be larger than 68.19 GB”. So is my PS4 just gonna have to be fully dedicated to D2 or should I just delete it again? Lmao

I had 48 Gb of free space on ps4 and it told me I didn’t have enough space to download this patch.
Bungie is notorious in my eye for not telling its paying customer what it intends to do until after the fact. The first indication that something is about to occur is when, like today, when I get booted out of a game for no reason and when I try to reconnect I get the “maxed out” server notice.
Bungie, why not just tell everybody with a bloody big banner starting that, “gaming will be suspended until we issue a hot fix, an update, a new game OR WHATEVER!
JUST TELL US, COMMUNICATION is oh so important for people who have paid to play!

They post quite often on their Twitter help page about every inconvenience and their official destiny app will also let you know ahead of time.
The update was only 97 MBs for me on Xbox One
I don’t know why you’d lie about it. Lol. The entire game is only 88.45 gigs. And that’s after todays update.
It’s different for everyone depending on what expansions are installed. My install is 103.9GB according to my system storage information. So there is no need to call anyone a liar.
Mine takes up way too much space aswell, just fully downloaded the game 5 days ago.
Painfully slow on PS4 pro. So slow I thought there must be some kind of mistake; canceled and deleted file and restarted PS4. Tried again… no mistake, just crawling.
