F1 2018: New video about art direction and sound

Codemasters highlights the game’s many audio and graphics enhancements with the final installment of the “F1 2018” developer diaries series. You can watch the video below these lines. Some details have also been revealed in text form to art director Stuart Campbel and senior audio designer Brad Porter. Below you can read the appropriate information.

According to the developer, F1 2018 appears more realistic than its predecessors through the use of new rendering technologies, providing a qualitatively significant leap forward. “All vehicle models, character render, atmospheric elements, graphic effects, video technology and animation have been drastically redesigned, while engine noise and other acoustic effects are even more realistic,” Codemasters said.

“The biggest visible gain is certainly in the atmospheric elements,” says Art Director Stuart Campbell. “This year, we’re using an extensive atmospheric system that will give players a better look of the scenery and some impressive moments.”

F1 2018 will be released on August 24 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
