Ubisoft announces the latest installment in the award-winning Far Cry series at The Game Awards. Far Cry New Dawn will appear on February 15, 2019, taking players into a post-apocalyptic world. The game will be released for PlayStation 4, the Xbox One family including Xbox One X and PC and can be preordered now.
Seventeen years after a global nuclear disaster, Far Cry New Dawn takes players to a wild, beautiful, but radically different Hope County, Montana. Life has gradually come out of chaos, but the survivors now face a new threat – the merciless Highwaymen and their leaders: the twins, Mickey and Lou. The twin sisters and their group of looters, who grew up in the lawless frontier, live only in the here and now and have come to Hope County to claim all resources still available. To repress this devastating threat, players must help the survivors get stronger, create a makeshift arsenal, and form unexpected alliances to fight for survival in a dangerous battle.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with support from Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Kiev and Ubisoft Bucharest, Far Cry New Dawn is a first-person shooter in a completely open world. The stand-alone sequel to Far Cry® 5, Far Cry New Dawn, puts players in a post-apocalyptic world where they’ll encounter a double threat – twins Mickey and Lou. Players have a large selection of helpers and pets as a companion, but can also recruit a friend for co-op games to experience memorable Far Cry moments when anything can happen.
