The 2008 Wii horror game release will have its first Western release in early 2023.
Koei Tecmo says during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation that Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, a 2008 Wii horror game, will be out on Nintendo Switch in early 2023, along with ports for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The Survival Horror & Action-adventure game
Ruka Minazuki, an amnesiac who vanished as a child, is the main character of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. Following a mysterious vision, she returns to a sanatorium on Rougetsu Island, hoping to regain her memories. The girls will use the moonlight and a weak flashlight to investigate the western-style homes and deserted hospitals on Rogetsu Isle to find clues. The plot advances thanks to artifacts like old newspaper clippings and notes as the girls learn more about the island’s hidden history. The girls will encounter a variety of spirits while they are investigating. To drive away vengeful ghosts, they need to use the Camera Obscura, a staple of the Fatal Frame franchise.
