As in previous years, a Fortnite event will celebrate the turn of the year this year. The first leaks show what to expect on New Year’s Eve.
What happens on New Year’s Eve: Fortnite has already held small live events at the turn of the year in recent years. There a disco ball is lowered every hour on the hour and the year is written in the sky with fireworks.
Something like that could also await us this year. The first leaks showing a lot of fireworks have appeared on Twitter. So we could expect a live event at the turn of the year.

It is very likely that we will see a New Year’s Eve event at the end of 2020. But remember, these are leaks that have not been officially confirmed.
