Fortnite: Shopping cart deactivated again

Shopping Carts were an interesting addition to Fortnite: Battle Royale, but they have also proved problematic. Epic Games had to deactivate it several times because of problems, and that’s the case again.

Epic Games confirmed the temporary deactivation of the shopping carts in a tweet (and with a brief statement in the forum) saying: “Due to ongoing issues, we’ll be disabling Shopping Carts again. We’ll update you when this issue is resolved.” There is no exact time to re-add them, but by this time, players have become accustomed to adding shopping carts, the first vehicle in Fortnite, to the list of active items pull.

In a game like Fortnite it is not uncommon to disable the items. Some items are removed to give the studio time to work on its balance, other items never come back. But in a relatively small time window, the shopping carts were temporarily disabled several times. Among other things, they were used to get into areas of the map that players are not allowed to access, which is extremely problematic in a competitive game. With the success of Fortnite, it is no surprise that Epic Games reacts quickly to keep the balance of competition in balance.

As soon as we have news, we’ll tell you about it! Have you already seen the challenges for week 8 in the 4th season, we have all already listed!
