Epic Games has announced Update 8.10 to Fortnite, against 5 AM ET (0900 UTC) the servers will shut down to bring up the update.
Whether it becomes a pure Fortnite Server Update or whether Client Patch 2.08 is released is currently unknown.

Much is not known about the Fortnite update, but the new vehicle “Baller” is added. This vehicle is a transparent ball with a seat. Outside, a gun with a toilet cleaner is mounted. What the new vehicle can do has not been announced yet, so there is a lot of guesswork and speculation.
