Sucker Punch Productions has released further details on the first Ghost of Tsushima update. Which consists of several updates.
Update 1.01 was confirmed a few days ago, now Update 1.02 has also been announced. Accordingly, there are some updates before the actual release.
Ghost of Tsushima Update 1.01 should be around 7GB in size, Update 1.02 should only be run at 500 MB.
So together we get 7 to 8 gigabytes for the Day One Patch, so far. Ghos of Tsushima will be released on July 17th, maybe there will be further optimizations or bug fixes by then.

Unfortunately there are no details about the individual optimizations and bug fixes, there is only one standard message for both updates.
