Konami Is Preparing Remasters for Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3

There were rumors that Konami was bringing new life to its most popular video game brands last year. Remastered versions of earlier Metal Gear games will be released supposedly in the lead-up to a brand-new game.
According to a leaker, Metal Gear fans should anticipate the remasters of Metal Gear Solid, 2, and 3 arriving soon on platforms.

Dusk Golem, also known as Aesthetic Gamer, revealed that Konami is bringing back the iconic stealth games for brand-new audiences. As the most recent release was for the GameCube in 2004, if this is the truth, the first game in the series will need a serious upgrade.

Will Konami actually spend money creating a complete remake of Metal Gear Solid?

Konami has significantly reorganized its product divisions, which has caused some concern that Konami is giving up game production altogether. However, Konami has stated that they just need to take the necessary actions. This is to keep up with the swift market developments around them.

Since Konami is working on new installments in the Castlevania and Silent Hill series, we aren’t hearing much more about its claimed plans to remake the first three Metal Gear Solid games.

Regarding the Metal Gear Solid remasters, the leaker stated the following in a ResetEra thread:
“I said this in the other thread, but can confirm this is 100% true. I will not be surprised if others have heard about it, but also as recently they’ve made agreements to distribution methods and finalizing the games to soon be reviewed by review boards and the like, very likely these get announced relatively soon. Added: I don’t know their exact marketing plans, I just know developments on distribution has been happening very recently.”

Could the rumors be true?
