Marvel’s Spider-Man: Celebrating its 4th Year Anniversary

Marvel’s Spider-Man launched on PS4 on September 7, 2018, and since then has been hailed as one of the best superhero games ever to grace a gaming console. Four years later, Insomniac’s smash-hit has been ported over to PC and Play station 5, with the latter release being PlayStation’s fastest-selling PC game in the United Kingdom.

Millions of  copies of Marvel’s Spider-Man sold worldwide

Insomniac Games have sold more than 33 million copies globally as of May 2022. The series will continue to sell now that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is coming to PC. The former had launched on August 12, while the latter will be available later this fall. In a PlayStation Blog post published a few months ago, Ryan Schneider expressed his gratitude to everyone that purchased the game and played the PlayStation console version.

Gamers are looking forward to more

Fans have had lots of Spider-Man over the last four years, and there’s no sign that the community has had enough. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the most awaited  PS5 games despite still being a while off.

Insomniac kicked off the new gen in style with major releases out of the gate. Now, the studio has gone back into its ‘quiet development mode. Thus, players are patiently waiting for their Spidey-senses to go off once more.
