Modern Warfare 2019 – How to Fix Dev Error 6065

In the last few days we have received more and more inquiries about Divers Modern Warfare Dev Errors, now let’s talk about them.

Some players have problems with the DEV ERROR 6065 after installing Modern Warfare Update 1.05, what’s going on?

What exactly the cause is we can not say, but it seems to concern mostly only PC players. We have now researched and found solutions to some Error Codes solutions.

Modern Warfare DEV ERROR 6065

  • DEV ERROR 5759: DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. This is a DirectX related error. Try to Update device drivers:
  • Dev Error 6606: This is a display related error. Make sure you are using updated device drivers. Try running the game in 1080p or disable your second monitor to get rid of this error.
  • Dev Error 6165: Open battle.net and perform a “scan and repair” for the game to fix it.
  • Dev Error 6065: Activision and Infinity Ward are currently working on a solution to the problem. Eventually with Modern Warfare Update 1.06 a hotfix will come. They recommend you tone down your settings for a workaround.
  • Dev Error 6068: Another DirectX related error. Make sure you have the latest version of Windows and DirectX installed.

With Update 1.06 some PC errors were addressed, it seems like Error 6065 is not fixed yet.

  • Dev Error 6065: We’re currently working on a fix for this and appreciate your patience. Lowering your graphics settings can help in the meantime.

  • Dev Error 6165: Players encountering this issue should try a ‘Scan and Repair’ through the Battle.net application. If this isn’t successful, a full reinstall might fix the issue.

  • Unable to access graphics options: We’re actively working on a fix for this, but removing the player folder in Documents -> Call of Duty: Modern Warfare might help resolve until a fix is deployed. If this doesn’t work for you, please let us know.

  • RTX not working: To be able to enable RTX, you’ll need to have an RTX compatible card and Win10 1809 and above. Please make sure you update Windows and your video card drivers.

I am still getting the directx error codes. i have updated all drivers and reinstalled the game 4 times. I was fine playing last week then just a couple days ago it stopped working. currently have an intel NVidia setup and game version 1.20.6.7633989. My specs of my pc far surpass the requirement.

Same thing is happening to me and it’s basically making this game unplayable.

Any RX graphics card will have this error until they patch this awful content update. Don’t expect to play the game on those cards for the next two weeks or so.

I hope they stop using end users as testcases and next time launch a game when it’s really finished… It’s just not tested properly and I’m not willing anymore to pay 60eur to get a testgame

I have two pc’s, one with a ryzen 5 and a GTX 1070, and one with a ryzen 5 and a rx580. This game runs awesome with maxed settings on the Nvidia setup, but i had to drop the settings to med/low to get past the main menu on the R5 rx580. both systems use solid state drives, both have 16gb ram… doesnt make sense. I know I could just play on my nvidia setup, but its annoying trying to troubleshoot for an hour chasing drivers, running diagnostic, and trying to force the game to run just to be told that I cant play if i have a full AMD build…

Yesterday it ran perfectly after i installed 16gigs of ram, now a day later after the Shaders installed (again) it got the error again. I guess the Shaders bugs the game for AMD Gpus. It ran ultra with agout 110 fps and now i need to set the graphics down again…

As far as error 6065 goes, my friend was a QA tester and personally spent dozens of hours working on this bug. He says it has to do with having both an AMD GPU AND CPU. His best fix for it right now is to literally just sit on the main menu for 30 minutes. I’m not joking at all, it worked for me. Right around 30 minutes after launching the game it works if I go into multiplayer.

Do you mean having either an AMD GPU or CPU, or having both? Because I have a AMD GPU, but an Intel CPU, and I get this error.

I used to do the 30 minute thing, but now the game puts my GPU at 86 degrees Celsius.. is that okay to sit at 86 for long times?

Pretty much this. After mine crashes i start in safe mode and works fine. After awhile im able to change my graphic setting back and works fine.

I get error 6065 and also get this weird freeze/lag spike every match that always lasts about 5 seconds. It’s like the game it bottlenecking the disc or something, tried moving to a ssd and didnt help with either problem.
