Mortal Kombat 11 – Trailer introduces the Kombat League

Warner Bros. and Netherrealm today released a trailer for the Mortal Kombat 11: Kombat League, which will be launched shortly. The Kombat League is a brand new seasonal leaderboard mode where players can compete against each other online to earn exclusive in-game rewards.

In the Kombat League, players compete in ranked matches as part of a four-week season to rise in nine levels – from the apprentice to the goddess. For each unlocked rank, players will be rewarded with exclusive in-game items. The rewards build on each other, making it a good chance to earn all items up to the highest level every season.

In addition, players can earn in-game items by completing the various daily and seasonal tasks. The end of a season is seamlessly followed by the next season with new rewards. The Kombat League’s optimized matchmaking system ensures that players are assigned to opponents as close to their skill level as possible. As part of the Kombat League update, a new ad has been introduced that shows players their chances of defeating the current opponent by taking a quick look at the start of a leaderboard match.

The Kombat League will be available as of tomorrow, June 18th, as a free update for all owners of Mortal Kombat 11. At the same time, Shang Tsung and other DLC characters are available for owners of the Kombat Pass.

Whether there is also a server update or client patch is not yet confirmed. If there is an update we will provide you with the patch notes.
