Mortal Kombat 11 received another update today, April 22nd. Patch 1.02 is ready to download and includes 7 GB on the switch and only 250 MB on the PS4.
Depending on whether you have already installed the game or have downloaded patch 1.01, the size of the download may of course vary. Mortal Kombat 11 Patch 1.01 is also about 2.7 GB in size.

The developers are the ones who release the patch notes. If that is all they released as patch notes then that is all we the public get. You are getting mad at the wrong person, it’s not J.P.’s fault. It’s the developers fault for only giving us vauge patch notes

We only want to provide you with the latest information as fast as possible. Sometimes there is not much information or patch notes will be added later … If the developers give only little information, that is really stupid. Current Day Gone Patch has 13 GB and only 2 lines of patch notes …
