October release of the New Tales from the Borderlands

October release of the New Tales from the Borderlands

It has been confirmed. As part of PAX West, New Tales From The Borderlands gameplay will make its live debut. It will be at 2 pm PT, 5 pm ET, and 10 pm BST.

On October 21, 2022, Steam and the Epic Games Store will release this stand-alone, choice-based interactive narrative experience for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The New Tales from the Borderlands announcement teaser was unveiled earlier today by Gearbox Entertainment. It was done by founder Randy Pitchford and broadcaster Geoff Keighley during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

The first Borderlands game, a narrative-driven point-and-click game created by Telltale Games, was well-liked by Pitchford. Pitchford claimed that Gearbox hired several writers contributing to the first New Tales from the Borderlands game.

Expect an offbeat humor from the Borderlands series

The original Tales From the Borderlands was produced by Telltale Games. It featured a story adventure set in the Borderlands world. The game included several Borderlands franchise characters, most notably Rhys and Fiona.

Since Tales From the Borderlands’ publication, Telltale Games has closed (and reopened), yet its enduring appeal has not diminished. Because of this, Gearbox Software, under the direction of Gearbox Quebec, is leading the development of a spiritual successor that will once more take a narrative-driven, lighthearted approach to the Borderlands universe.

New Tales From the Borderlands emphasizes humor in the introduction video. However, fans are aware that these games will probably also draw some tragedy from its new characters.

According to the announcement, we’ll be watching a story about “3 loveable losers” and fulfilling their aspirations. This was made via a tweet from the official Borderlands account.

An Out of the box Cinematic Adventure Unlike Any Other

Anu, Octavio, and Fran are the three new major protagonists in the newest release, which also features a brand-new plot. The clip gives the impression that there will be a lot of weaponry and odd humor in the Borderlands game. It appears that there will also be one or two minigames. Despite keeping the series’ characteristic graphical style, New Tales from the Borderlands appears to have improved graphics since Gearbox transitioned to Unreal Engine.

Each protagonist has their own device to aid them in both intense circumstances and exploration, in addition to Anu, Octavio, and Fran’s distinct points of view. Anu can scan items with her high-tech specs, Octavio can access people’s social media accounts and hack specific gadgets with his wrist-mounted ECHOdex, and Fran can use the hoverchair’s built-in attachments to punch her way out of troubles or freeze them solid.

In unforeseen ways, your choices affect how your tale is resolved. Your actions will determine whether Anu’s vision of a world without weapons, Octavio’s aspirations for fame and money or Fran’s cold-blooded vengeance scheme succeeds or fails.

This standalone story, which takes place a year after the events of Borderlands 3, includes well-known characters and locations, and you don’t need to have played any previous Borderlands games to appreciate it.

When the game launches on October 21, you may play it at your own speed. It is because the five parts of the journey are supplied all at once.
