Ubisoft did an alpha test on Rainbow Six Quarantine (code name Parasite). Some selected players were allowed to test the game. Although there were strict restrictions that no material could be published, some players filmed and published the gameplay.

Rainbow Six Quarantine is now also carried under the code name Rainbow Six Parasite. The game is slated to be released in the first half of the 2021/2022 financial year.
