Unannounced Silent Hill rated in South Korea

There have been long-running rumors of a new Silent Hill game. However, there has never been a reliable leak or official confirmation of this. Hopefully, the recent rating of an undisclosed new game in South Korea is a good indication of all the previous reports.

 

Silent Hill: The Short Message

 

The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea recently evaluated the game. The Short Message without mentioning any of the game’s target platforms. Additionally, the game has been submitted by UNIANA, the same business that submitted Konami’s eFootball 2023 to South Korea’s game rating committee. It is yet unclear what the game might be or whether it would directly reference Konami’s franchise.

 

The Short Message is a brand-new title that hasn’t been mentioned anywhere officially. Although the Capcom and Konami insider DuskGolem recently announced on Twitter that we would hear formally about the upcoming Silent Hill entry shortly, even the rumors have never indicated such a moniker.

 

 The rating for Silent Hill

 

The game was given a Mature classification in South Korea, and the Short Message was submitted in August 2022.

 

According to DuskGolem, Sakura, a purported Konami project, is Silent Hill: The Short Message. Sakura is reportedly a free-to-play trial that incorporates an SMS messaging system into the action.
