The Worms are back! Team17’s series goes real-time and announced Worms Rumble, an offshoot of the series that throws away the traditional gameplay and takes up the Battle Royale & Real-Time Combat mode. The whole thing will appear at the end of 2020 for PC, PS4 and PS5. Worms Royale features also cross-platform capability allowing players on PS4 and PS5 to play with those on PC.
A total of 32 players compete against each other and whoever is killed is completely out but you’re able to watch the rest of the game or start straight a new game. Another mode will be the “Last Squad Standing”, a competition mode between two teams. As known from older parts, you can individualize your worms. As usual there will be crazy items, headgear, masks and much more.
