F1 Manager 2022: Update 1.6 released – bug fixes

Frontier Developments brings us a round of fixes for F1 Manager 2022 today. In addition to adjustments to the AI, there are other improvements.

Today we receive a suite of bug fixes for the recently released F1 Manager 2022. Find out what has been improved in the August 31st patch notes below.

The new “F1 Manager 2022 Update 1.6” is now available for all PC Steam players. So far we only know of the release on Steam, we cannot confirm whether there is a comparable update for consoles.

The behavior of the artificial intelligence has been adjusted and there are other bug fixes.

AI

  • Further adjustments to how AI teams behave when signing backup drivers

CARS

  • Fixed Alpha Tauri livery appearing offset from the body
  • Fixed paintwork appearance issue on Scuderia AlphaTauri and Oracle Red Bull Racing vehicles

CAR PARTS AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Fixed an issue that caused newly fitted gearboxes to incorrectly inherit the wear/damage values ​​from the previous gearbox
  • Reduced impact on vehicle performance by adding “Focus” to new part designs

CUTSCENES

  • Fixed cases of floating tires appearing during some cutscenes
  • Fixed an issue that caused the cutscene camera to sometimes appear underground
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in comments mentioning drivers who were at the front of the grid despite being at the back of the grid

PIT STOPS

  • Fixed visual issues when a team double stacks their pit stops
  • player profile
  • All-time records for all-time highest earnings in a season and all-time highest team rating are now saved in-game

RACING SIMULATION

  • Fixed the issue where incomplete lap times were taken into account when searching for the fastest qualifying lap
  • Fixed an issue that caused cars to repeatedly teleport back to the garage after a DNF
  • Yellow flags will no longer be shown for cars that have already been returned to the garage after the checkered flag
  • Fixed an issue where drivers who only completed their out lap were listed at the top of the overall standings after a training session
  • Further compensation for possible incidents on the route in Zandvoort
  • Fixed an issue that caused tires to be treated as “fresh” tires when comparing lap time and “life” in the qualifying options screen

STABILITY & PERFORMANCE

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when trying to launch the game on PC
  • Fixed a hard lock that could occur during the “Lights Out” sequence at the start of a race
  • Increased performance when advancing time when playing later seasons
  • Fixed a soft lock during onboarding when launching the pre-race tutorial while the auto parts installation tutorial was in progress
  • Fixed instances of a soft lock that could occur during replays
