Grand Theft Auto VI” videogame were released online late Saturday night; the hacker claiming responsibility for the recent data breach at Uber Technologies Inc.

 

Teapotuberhacker  leaked 90 footage from Grand Theft Auto VI

 

Several sources claim that the GTAForums.com user teapotuberhacker, who created their account the same day. It claims to be from the UAE who posted a message. On the forum it says, “Here are 90 footage/clips from GTA 6. It’s [sic] possible I [sic] could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build,” which is when the leaks started. The suspected hacker claims to have stolen the files through the development team’s Slack employee communication platform. However, the link to them is no longer visible on the forum post.

 

Cryptocurrency in exchange for more details 

 

It appears that someone tried to pay $100,000.00 in Bitcoin for the GTA 5 source code. But freelance gaming news reporter Tom Henderson reports that teapotuberhacker has denied receiving the funds. It is suggesting that the would-be buyer may have been duped. Several people have set up accounts on Twitter claiming to be teapotuberhacker, and at least one of them is asking for payment in cryptocurrency in exchange for more details about the upcoming game.

The Criminal Enterprises expansion for Grand Theft Auto Online is currently being promoted on both Rockstar Games’ official website and Twitter page, neither of which has yet to mention the leaks. However, according to some news organizations, Take-Two has started requesting the removal of the materials that have been released.
