Does anyone know if they fixed the audio glitch with this patch?

This game…. It works beautifully, and amidst the solid game design, and the exciting story, it has charm. When youre climbing down an overly long ladder and deacon is muttering to himself “ooook, I need to get in better shape. Whew. God damn”
Someone thought of that, and it’s this level of immersion that’s what makes this game shine. I’ve been waiting for 5 or so years for this game, and though at times, I have been slightly disappointed by small glitches or things that dont look perfect. Someone thought of all these tiny details that make this game stand alone as something truly new and unique. I’ve played ALL the triple A rated titles for the last 10 or so years, and I’ve never played a game that feels so raw, and true and individual. And the fact that it takes place in Oregon, where I’ve lived all my life… I can actually SEE how accurate the scenery is.
This game is stunning, and the small team in Bend that took on this project honestly DESERVES kudos. They didn’t try to make a destiny clone and just simply STOP offering support for it until it immediately died (Anthem).
Or find themselves incapable of running the game without lag issues (fallout 76).
It’s been what? 4 days or so, and they’ve released about 3 patches ALREADY.

Gamers vote with their money, and this company from Bend is hungry. This is how STUNNING games are made. So before you go blow more cash on EAs garbage games that they will NEVER fix… just think about that. You give the underdog your support and they will never let you down.

The reason this got bad reviews is because of political agendas. No other reasons . Ignore them all, all dishonest .

I think a lot of people know by this point that most conventional “game journalists”….and unneeded, vitriolic asshat online personalities….. can largely be disregarded when they offer up their opinions. They have NOTHING in terms of qualifications that should make you give their thoughts any more weight than what your friend say. Folks just listen to the online idiots because they’re obnoxious, and toss out the sort of petty insults that grab attention and make the dumbassess out there go “eeewww…burn.”

I like this game a lot. I absolutely think it’s been treated unfairly by many in the press. It’s a good, solid title that offers some new mechanics, but also comes with some flaws. The camera can be wonky. The AI isn’t stellar (not terrible, but pretty mediocre). And even fans have to admit, it’s another game pretending a guy can be stealthy while kitted with an assault rifle, crossbow, handgun, boot knife and a belt full of molotovs. Cripes, you could barely MOVE if you had that strapped on your back. Let alone craft a weapon in 12 seconds using a handful of nails and a baseball bat.

Based off its merits, it’s probably an 8/10. That’s “good.” That’d be a B if you were still in school. A 6/10 isn’t “Good.”

I probably like it MORE than an 8/10 simply because I’ve been waiting for an open world game with horror elements. But I can admit it has some issues.

Honestly, I think the problem is that reviewers tend watch to see what their fellow “game journalists” are posting and just follow suit. It’s lazy. And the tone was sadly set by some folks who have a big issue with the gruff white protagonist. I’m not raving about social justice warriors and all that (because I’m not a flipping insecure homophobe) but I do think a lot of writers have it in their head that a story’s not worth telling if it doesn’t offer a different take on the hero. You drop Ellie from The Last of Us in here….or someone other than a tatted biker fist bumping his bro…..and they’d be hiking their scores up.

It’s also in vogue right now to take shots at the open world approach.

Who cares about ign ratings? They are paid to give out 10/10 scores and they are discredited imo because of this reason. Days gone has sold the most copies of a game, this year. Stop listening to people like ign they dont know how to reveiw games because they are not in it to tell the truth, its about money.Make up your own minds, ign, gamespot etc have no real place in this industry unless your a brainless sheep.

Fantastic game! Can’t put it down! Don’t listen to critics fast updates coming out every day, game is so atmospheric, waited 2 years for this and it was well worth it! Miss at your own peril.

The game just came out. Give them some time. Gta5 had a lot if bugs but they fix it. It’s a open world game it’s going be bugs at frist. And gta still has lots of bugs.

It started out slow…but I myself haven’t been able to put it down either. I’m hooked! I’ve enjoyed the gameplay so far I’m about 10 hours in. Great game!

Reviews of this game are to bad.. just because of bugs.
I am maybe 7 or 8 hours in the game and i had 3 bugs but that dont spoil the whole game for me and they should know that an exclusive game like this wil get patches fast enough .. in the hours i have played i loved the gameplay i love the graphics and the controls. The thrill to secure a checkpoint or to cross a tunnel in the evening, they really did a great job

I absolutely think that Days Gone not only deserves higher review scores, it demands them. I’m having more fun with this game than i did with rdr2! Days Gone imo is game of the year material!

I couldn’t agree more. I love Rdr2. But have been having way more fun with this game. It’s low key fulfilling my fantasy of having a walking dead game about Darryl

After the recent update i experiebced crashing. The whole ps4 switched off. I load in the save and couple minutes later the whole console crashed. I wonder if anybody else had the same issue.

I agree I think it gets so much backlash bc it’s not on PC.

Agree with Kavan, 100%.. I’ve been enjoying this game and it deserves a higher review score from the game media outlets.

That dude above is not wrong. Red Dead looks gorgeous, and it was fun, for about 3 hours…then it’s just too much. It became a chore to play rather than a game. Personally I like how the bike handles in Days Gone and I’m having a blast so far and find myself becoming addicted.

  17. Kavan April 30, 2019 | Reply

It upsets me to see ign and major critics vote this game at a low 6 of 10 specifically bc of bugs and the way the assume you should use the bike. Sure the game isnt a super big fantasy game where things aren’t super real. But days gone don’t seemed to be made up of unreal zombie scenarios. So what bike controls are sluggish. You dont see people ride a motorcycle and even out the instant you leave a turn. Why its bc you have to lean out of the turn. So soupish driving dont exactly fit. Im pretty sure that hitting a zombie or jumping a street bike (that can be upgraded to fix issues) will eventually degrade after a while. I mean really the bike is heavy obviously its gonna hurt. And for hitting a zombie. Im sure if you hit a person with a bike. Youll loose control. So your lucky they didnt make it where you fly off. Sure some of the story and gameplay gets repetitive but what game has all unique gameplay where the same mechanics never overlap at a point. Red dead for example. Rated super high, why, because it had a predecessor and it looked good. But the game had more bugs than this did l, sometimes game breaking yet was given a ten of ten. To see this company make a really good open world zombie game and constantly trying to fix issues get so much criticism is kinda rude. And before someone says that, its how the game gets better. Its not. You dont rate a game so low the day it comes out. Obviously itll have un-noticed bugs at launch. What game doesn’t. People report it and it gets fixed. This game didnt deserve a bad rating this early in

6/10 is very reasonable guys. I’m enjoying the shit out of this game too but it’s a 6 or 7/10 which to me means “good game”. Idk theres just so many better games even ones that resemble Days Gone for it to be this 9/10 you guys seemingly believe it to be.
